December 15th ~Charlie McKinnon

December 15th 2 years ago, Charlie McKinnon was murdered. He was at his in laws house and was shot in his truck. His family was notified and they were on the scene right away. The were treated horriably being told that Charlie's death was "Justifiable Homicide" by the police officer that was on the scene.
All of the newspapers also said horrible things about Charlie. No one cared how hurtful this would all be to his family.
Fred, Janet, Krissy, Ray & Dave. They are Charlies' family. They mourn him everyday. No one has ever been charged in his death. Charlie was the baby of the family, Charlie was the proud father of 2 beautiful twin girls Ashley & Kayla, Charlie had a million friends, Charlie was a strong vibrant young man that was so often the life of the party. He was their center. He was their family. He is now gone.
This family has been completely devastated by Charlies' murder and yet they all maintain their faith in God and count on him to see them through without the slightest hint of bitterness.
If you have ever had the privilege to speak to anyone in this family about Charlie, you know that they still carry their love for him openly with every part of their hearts, he is there. Every moment of every day. I know this family. They are NOT mean, hurtful, spiteful, or anything but devastated. I pray for them everyday. I pray that they will somehow get peace, that they will lean on each other and that they know that Charlie is still with them in spirit. I truly believe that. I want them all to know that I am thinking about them today on this horrible day and I love them all with all of my heart!
