Remembering Tonia

Today it has been 2 years since Tonia Amato was murdered by her husband J.C.
This case has still not gone to trial, and delay after delay after delay has a lot of people wondering if there will ever be justice for her death. My heart goes out to Kathy and the rest of Tonia's family today. The average person has no idea how hard the anniversary of a murder victims death is on a family. You re-live every detail over and over and no matter how hard you try, you cannot clear it from your mind. Your heart aches in a constant pattern that is indescribable.

We at the CCFHV have often been questioned by the public wanting to know why we carry this case with our list of unsolved cases.
My answer to that is simple. J.C. Amato may have taken her life but he has not been convicted of murdering her. He is not in jail for murder. He has yet to admit to any wrongdoing in this case. Therefore, Tonia's family does not have closure.
I am not here to pass judgement, (although I certainly have an opinion and am entitled to it) but as a family member of a homicide victim, I will side with the families and victims every time!

Tonia Amato is an unsolved murder and will remain on our shirts until the day that J.C. is convicted for her murder and then, we will still keep her on our shirts but have a "solved" next to her name..

Kathy, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family today!

Belinda,
Thank you for remembering. Each anniversary does bring back the loss and the uncertainties of the future. God is our strength during this time of trial. Friends and loved ones who pray for us help us to keep our focus.

God Bless!
